ACHIEVERS GIRLS LEVEL 7 GYMNASTICS TEAM COMPETES AT STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Athletes bring back 4 state championship titles to Achievers.

Katy, Texas– The Achiever’s level 7 team had their state meet this past weekend in Katy Texas, hosted by Stars Gymnastics. This was the last competition of regular season and 6 out of the 7 qualified to the Regional competition to be held in Aurora, Colorado on April 30-May 2nd.
As a team,  Achievers placed 6th in the state of Texas, and each athlete earned their own personal accolades. State Champion gold medals were won by Audrey Collins on beam and floor exercise in the Jr D2 session, and Tatum Traylor on beam and floor exercise in the Sr A2 session.  Chelsie Freed exhibited grace and perseverance throughout the entire competition and  Shelbie Donaldson ended up crushing floor exercise receiving a 9.575 and placing 4th. Norah Collins performed a wonderful beam routine earning a 9.375 and 6th place, Izzy Escobedo had a solid meet totaling a 37.675, and Isabella McCarty performed beautifully taking 4th place on both bars and beam. Way to go ladies!
The next competition for the Achievers Gymnastics team will be Level 8 regionals in Overland Park, KS on April 23-25 Good luck Girls!

Level 8 Piper Gow 1st place floor, Texas State Champion!

ACHIEVERS GIRLS LEVEL 8 OPTIONAL GYMNASTS COMPETE AT STATE COMPETITION

Frisco, Texas– The Level 8 Achiever’s gymnasts, Summer Terrill, Piper Gow, and Avery Futrell had their last competition of regular season and qualified on to their next competition, Level 8 Regionals.
The level 8 state meet was hosted by WOGA in Frisco, and gymnasts from all over Texas competed in this competition. All three girls gave their best effort and had an awesome competition.
Summer Terrill fought start to finish and had one of her best meets this season. Piper Gow won 1st place/State Champion in her division on floor exercise and placed 3rd all around. Avery Futrell hit 4 for 4 earning herself a spot at regionals in Kansas City.  The weekend finished with hitting 12 out of the 12 routines performed. Way to go Achievers!
The next competition for the Achievers Gymnastics team will be the level 7 state competition in Houston, Texas on April 9-11.

ACHIEVERS BOYS’ GYMNASTICS TEAM WINS 13 STATE TITLES AT THE TEXAS STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS!
6 GYMNASTS QUALIFY TO REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

 

DENTON, TX – Thirteen gymnasts from Achiever’s Gymnastics Center boys team competed in the 2021 Level 4-7 Michael Sims North Texas State Championships on March 27th and 28th. Seven gymnasts completed their season with many high scores and top three finishes. Those seven gymnasts placed seventeen times in the top three and secured eight state champion titles.

The remaining six gymnastics that competed qualified to the Region 3 Championships in Yukon, Oklahoma, and will compete on April 23rd – 25th.  The Region 3 Championships is comprised of North and South Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Kansas, Arkansas, and Missouri.  In addition to qualifying to regionals, the six gymnasts had nineteen top three finishes and five state championship titles.

ACHIEVERS BOYS’ LEVEL 9 AND 10 GYMNASTS COMPETE AT THE TEXAS STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Gymnasts Achieve 14 top 10 places at the Texas State Championships 

DENTON, TX – Five gymnasts from Achiever’s Gymnastics Center Boys team competed in the USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic Level 8-10 Texas State Championships March 19-21.

The Achievers boys competed extremely well with room to improve before moving on the regionals. All 6 of the Level 9 and 10 boys qualified to compete at the Region 3 Championships.

The boy’s team next meet will be the Region 3 Championships, comprised of 6 states in Lubbock, Texas on April 9-11.  Each of the boys will be fighting for a spot to qualify to the 2021 Junior Olympic National Championships in Daytona Beach, Florida in May.

ACHIEVERS TAAF GYMNASTICS TEAM COMPETES AT EXCITE BEACH BASH IN HIGHLAND VILLAGE, TX   

Gymnasts Achieve 64 Top 5 Placements 

DENTON, TX – Gymnasts from Achiever’s Gymnastics Center continued their competition season at the Beach Bash TAAF Qualifier March 20-21, 2021 at Excite! Gymnastics in Highland Village, TX.

High scores were achieved by Nailah Chatman 9.6 floor, Maddy Knipe 9.5 vault, Kinsey Stephens 9.5 floor, Astrid Giron 9.45 bars. 
The next competition for the Achievers TAAF Gymnastics team is an in house meet on April 25, 2021 followed by State competitions throughout May.

Level 9 Regional Qualifier - Sophie Salvadori

ACHIEVERS  LEVEL 9 OPTIONAL GYMNAST COMPETES AT STATE COMPETITION

Lubbock, Texas– Level 9 Achiever gymnast Sophie Salvatori competed at the Level 9 State Championships and did so well she qualified on to compete at level 9 Regionals.

The level 9 state meet was hosted by Rock Solid Gymnastics in Lubbock. Gymnasts from all over Texas competed in this competition. Sophie had the meet of her season this past weekend after overcoming  many obstacles!

From starting this season only competing one event to ending the season as not only an All Arounder, but one qualifying to Regionals was a true showing of her hard work and determination.  Way to go Sophie!

The next competition for the Achievers Gymnastics team will be the level 8 state competition in Frisco, Texas at World Olympic Gymnastics,  March 26-28.

ACHIEVERS GIRLS LEVEL 6 OPTIONAL GYMNASTICS TEAM COMPETES AT STATE COMPETITION

Allen, Texas - The Achiever’s Level 6 girls had their 7th and final competition of this season at the Level 6 State Championship meet hosted by Metroplex Gymnastics. Gymnasts from all over Texas competed in this competition. The Achievers girls had an excellent final meet and made many improvements throughout the season. Their scores at this competition reflected those improvements
Anderson Terry won the 1st place Gold Medal and was crowned the Texas State floor exercise champion in all the state in her age division.  She also placed 4th in the All Around. Elleson Cozart achieved an impressive 9.5 on the bars and secured the 4th spot in All Around, and Emma Gonzalez won the bronze medal and placed 3rd in floor exercise within her age division and earned herself the 6th spot in the All Around. Way to go ladies!
The next competition for the Achievers Gymnastics team will be the level 9/10 state competition in Lubbock, Texas March 21st. Good luck Girls!

ACHIEVERS TAAF GYMNASTICS TEAM COMPETES AT HULA FEST IN IRVING, TEXAS

Gymnasts Achieve 64 Top 5 Placements 

DENTON, TX – TAAF gymnasts from Achiever’s Gymnastics Center continued their competition season at the Hula Fest TAAF qualifier in Irving, TX hosted by Irving Gymnastics.  This competition was the largest TAAF gymnastics competition in the state thus far and the Achievers TAAF girls finished at or near the top.  This competition was attended by more than 400 athletes from all over Texas. 

1st place Gold Medals were achieved at this competition by Level 6 Nailah Chatman on beam, floor, and all-around, Level 4 Kailey Riley on bars, Molly Wilson on bars, Victoria Arnold on floor and all around, Alexis Matteson on bars and floor, and Xcel Platinum Astrid Giron on bars. Also team awards were won by the level 6 team (3rd) and Xcel Platinum (2nd).  The next competition for the Achievers TAAF Gymnastics team is the Excite Beach Bash on March 20-21, 2021, hosted by Excite Gymnastics in Highland Village, TX.

Achievers Gymnastics is owned and operated by Frank and Johnna Kudlac since 1992.  Celebrating 29 years serving the Denton community, the Achievers curriculum consists of many inter-working programs including Girls and Boys USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic gymnastics teams, Girls TAAF Teams, Achievers Ninja Warrior Training, and various levels of recreational gymnastics, cheer, and tumbling classes for children of all ages.

ACHIEVERS BOYS GYMNASTICS TEAM END REGULAR SEASON WITH 26 - 1ST PLACE FINISHES AND MANY PERSONAL BEST SCORES!

Gymnasts Achieve 68 top 3 finishes 

DENTON, TX – Seventeen gymnasts from Achiever’s Gymnastics Center boys team competed in the 2021 Lone Star Gymnastics Invitational in Denton, Texas on March 6th, and 7th, 2021. The Achievers boys team had many personal bests on individual events and in the All Around. All the boys have shown improvement throughout the year and are ready to compete at the Texas State Championships in a few weeks.

This was the last regular season meet before State, Regional and National Championships for athletes that qualify based on a set allotment at each championship event. The level 4-7 boys next meet is the North Texas State Gymnastics Championships on March 27th and 28th in Euless Texas. The Level 8-10 boys will compete at the Texas State Gymnastics Championships March 19th-21st in Dallas, Texas.
