ACHIEVERS GYMNAST HAS A STRONG PERFORMANCE AT THE JUNIOR OLYMPIC NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP. 

DENTON, TX – A gymnast (William Kudlac) from Achiever’s Gymnastics Center competed at the coveted Junior Olympic Men’s National Championships in Kissimmee, FL.
Silver Spur Arena hosted 850 of the best male gymnasts in the United States whom individually qualified through their Regional Championships.
The competition was held May 19-21 2017.

Results

William Kudlac of Pilot Point, Texas qualified into finals after day 1 with a score of a 70.9 

Level 8 – 12-year-old Junior Olympic:

TAAF State Championship LV 1-3A & Bronze Xcel Hosted by Achievers

ACHIEVERS GYMNASTICS TAAF TEAM PLACES  3RD AT STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS 

DENTON, TX – The Achievers Gymnastics Level 3 Achievement TAAF Team recently took home 3rd place in the team competition at the TAAF Level 1-3 Achievement, Bronze Excel State Championships.  The competition was hosted by Achievers Gymnastics at Swisher Courts in LakeDallas.

TAAF, Texas Amateur Athletic Federation, Level 1-3 Achievement State Championships are a unique event bringing together gymnasts throughout the state of Texas.  The gymnasts perform on each event for an achievement ribbon based on the score received for that event, not for placement.  However, the scores do count towards their respective team totals.  The Achievers Gymnastics Level 3A TAAF Team, comprised of Caitlin Childers (from Corinth), Shelbie Donaldson (from Rhome), Phoebe Richter (from Denton), and Kayla Ross (from Corinth), totaled enough points for a 3rd place team finish.

This was the culminating competition for gymnasts at this level.

ACHIEVERS GYMNAST PLACES AT USA GYMNASTICS LEVEL 9
WESTERN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
 

DENTON, TX – Claire Willenborg from Achiever’s GymnasticsCenter competed in the USA Gymnastics Level 9 Western Championships in Boise, Idaho, on April 30, 2017.  This competition was attended by gymnasts from the western half of the United States.  Gymnasts needed to qualify to their Regional Championships at their respective State competitions and then further qualify to the Western Championships at their respective Regional Championships, thus ensuring that the absolute best of the best can compete against each other at the Western Championships.  The USA Gymnastics Western Championships is comprised of gymnasts from Regions 1, 2, 3, and 4. 

 The dividing line between Eastern and Western for USA Gymnastics is the Mississippi River.

Willenborg, from Highland Village, placed 4th on the Uneven Bars and completed the competition 17th (out of 28) in the All Around in Level 9 Senior 5 age division.  The Western Championships are the culminating competition for gymnasts at this level.  Now Willenborg is working for a move up to Level 10 next season.

Kaitlyn Kerns - 5th Place Beam Level 8 Regional Championship Estes Park, Colorado

ACHIEVERS GYMNASTICS ATHLETE CONCLUDES SEASON AT USA GYMNASTICS LEVEL 8 REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Gymnast achieves 2 Top 10 Placements 

DENTON, TX – Achiever’s GymnasticsCenter’s Kaitlyn Kerns of HighlandVillage competed in the USA Gymnastics Level 8 Region 3 Championships in Estes Park, Colorado, on April 23, 2017.  This competition was attended by more than 450 of the top gymnasts throughout Region 3, which is comprised of gymnasts from the states of Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Wyoming, and Texas.  Kerns performed well and placed near the top of the competition.

Kerns placed 6th place on Vault, 5th place on Beam, and 11th place in the All-Around Sr C senior Division.  The USA Gymnastics Level 8 Region 3 Championships is the culminating competition for athletes at this level.  Kerns will now begin preparations for the 2018 USA Gymnastics competition season.

Lili Hernandez - 3rd Place Vault, Level 7 Regionals

ACHIEVERS GYMNASTICS LEVEL 7 TEAM CONCLUDES SEASON AT
USA GYMNASTICS REGIONALS

Gymnasts achieve 3 Top 5 Placements and 11 Top 10 Placements 

DENTON, TX – Gymnasts from Achiever’s GymnasticsCenter competed in the USA Gymnastics Level 7 Region 3 Championships held at the AlbuquerqueConvention Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on April 14-16, 2017.  This competition was attended by more than 450 of the top gymnasts in the region. Many Achievers gymnasts placed near the top of the competition.

            Lily Hernandez of Keller earned a Bronze Medal.  Hernandez earned her bronze on Vault in the Level 7 Jr. D Division B age group.  Maddison Justice of Denton placed 5th on Vault in Level 7 Sr. D Division B age group.  Michaela Jackman of Flower Mound placed 5th on Bars in Level 7 Sr. D Division C age group.  Kylie Brown of Lantana earned 6th All Around in Level 7

Sr. D Division B age group.  Region 3 is comprised of athletes from the states of Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Wyoming, and Texas.  The Region 3 Championships is the culminating competition for gymnasts competing Level 7.  Full results are listed below.

ACHIEVERS BOYS TEAM GYMNASTS CONTINUE TO IMPROVE AS THE END OF THE SEASON APPROACHES

                                    12 gymnast placed 58 times in the top 10, and 28 times in the top 5! 

DENTON, TX – Gymnasts from Achiever’s Gymnastics Center competed at the North Texas Last Chance invitational in Denton, TX. Hosted by Achievers Gymnastics Center. The level 4 and 5 boys will conclude their season at the North Texas State Championships next weekend in McKinney, TX

Claire Willenborg - Region 3 Floor Champion Western National Qualifier

ACHIEVERS GYMNAST QUALIFIES TO LEVEL 9 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 

DENTON, TX – Claire Willenborg from Achiever’s GymnasticsCenter competed in the USA Gymnastics Region 3 Level 9-10 Regional Championships in Lafayette, Colorado, on April 9, 2017.  This competition was attended by the absolute best gymnasts from Region 3 which is comprised of gymnasts from Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Wyoming, and Texas, and is considered the strongest Region for gymnastics competition in the country.

Willenborg, from Highland Village, tied for 1st on Floor in Level 9 Senior 5 age division.  She also took home 4th on Bars and 6th in the All Around.  Because of her placement in the All-Around, Willenborg qualified  to the USA Gymnastics Level 9 Western National Championships to be held in Boise, Idaho, on April 28 – 30, 2017.  The USA Gymnastics Western National Championships is comprised of qualified gymnasts from Regions 1, 2, 3 & 4, which are from all the states west of the Mississippi River.

ACHIEVERS GYMNASTICS HAS A STRONG PERFORMANCE AT THE REGION 3 CHAMPIONSHIPS.

Kudlac qualifies to the boys Junior Olympic National Championship 

DENTON, TX – Gymnasts from Achiever’s Gymnastics Center competed at the Region 3 championships on March 31-April 2 in Kansas City, Missouri. Region 3 consists of the states; Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Missouri, Kansas, and Arkansas. There were over 700 Athletes competing at this event.

Meet Results: 

William Kudlac of Pilot Point, Texas qualified to compete at the 2017 Men’s Junior Olympic National Championships May 10th – 15th in Kissimmee, Florida.

 

Level 6 – 7-9-year-old Division 1:

  • Aidan Murphy-Denton, TX- 15th Floor, 18th Parallel Bars, 22nd All Around

Level 8 – 11-12-year-old Junior Olympic:

Junior Developmental 12-14-year-old:

On April 8th, from 8am-6pm, Achievers will be hosting the Level 4 & 5 Boys Last Chance Invitational at the Achievers gym in Denton.  Over 200 boys from the North Texas area will be competing.  The competition is open to the public and the schedule can be found on the Achievers Gymnastics web site

TAAF Gymnasts from Achievers do well

ACHIEVERS GYMNASTICS TAAF TEAM CONTINUES SUCCESSFUL SEASON

Gymnasts achieve 32 Top 5 Placements and 46 Top 10 Placements 

DENTON, TX – Gymnasts from Achiever’s Gymnastics Center competed in the Plano Aerobats “Wild About Gymnastics” TAAF Qualifying Meet held at the Carpenter Park Recreation Center in Plano, Texas, on March 25-26, 2017.  This competition was attended by many of the top TAAF gymnasts throughout the state with many Achievers Gymnasts placing at or near the top of the competition. Top performances were achieved by Kandace Needum, Olivia Burns, Jenna Ball, Didi Aguilar, Jillian Beck, Catherine Herry, and Braelyn Smith.  Also, Silver medals were earned by Needum, Aguilar, Herry, and Alayna Blaskowsky.  Additionally, bronze medals were won by Needum, Burns, Beck, Blaskowsky, Baylee Burns, and Jacie Thompson.  Needum, from Denton, earned her Gold on Bars, her Silver on Vault, and her Bronze in the All Around in Level 6 Division 3.  O. Burns, from Krum, took 1st on Floor and 3rd on Bars in Level 4 Division 2.  Ball, from Krugerville, took home the Gold on Vault in Level 4 Division 4.  Aguilar, from Decatur, earned her Gold on Bars and her Silver in the All Around in Level 4 Division 5.  Beck, from Lake Dallas, took 1st on Beam and 3rd on Vault.  Herry, from Denton, took home the Gold on Floor and the Silver on Bars in Level 3 Division 6.  Smith, from Little Elm, earned her Gold on Vault in Level 3 Division 6.  Blaskowsky, from Denton, won Silver Medals on Vault and Beam and a Bronze on Floor in Level 3 Division 6.   B. Burns, from Krum, won Bronze medals on Bars and Floor in Level 4 Division 4.  Thompson, from Krum, earned her Bronze on Bars in Level 4 Division 5.  Also, the Achievers Gymnastics Level 3 Achievement Team took 1st place in the Team category.  The Achievement team is comprised of Caitlin Childers, from Corinth, Shelbie Donaldson, from Rhome, Phoebe Richter, from Denton, and Kayla Ross, from Corinth.

The next competition for the Achievers Gymnastics TAAF Team is The Last Chance TAAF Qualifier to be held at Hill College in Hillsboro, TX, on April 22-23, 2017.

Alayna Blaskowsky, Denton, placed 2nd on Vault and Beam, 3rd on Floor, 5th in the All Around.

ACHIEVERS LEVEL 8 GYMNASTS COMPLETE STATE MEET EXCELLENCE

Gymnasts achieve 7 Top 10 Placements and Regional Qualification 

DENTON, TX – Gymnasts from Achiever’s GymnasticsCenter competed in the Texas USA Gymnastics Level 8 State Championships in Frisco, Texas, on March 25, 2017.  This competition was attended by more than 250 of the top gymnasts throughout the state of Texas, with the Achievers gymnasts placing at or near the top of the competition.

            A Silver Medal performance was achieved at Level 8 by Peyton Thompson of Keller who took second on Balance Beam in Level 8 Sr. C3 Division.  Thompson also placed 4th on Floor.  Kaitlyn Kerns of Highland Village competed with top performances of 6th place on Vault, Beam, and All Around in Level 8 Sr. C2 Division.  Additionally, both Thompson and Kerns qualified to the USA Gymnastics Region 3 Level 8 Regional Championships to be held in Estes Park, Colorado, on April 21-23, 2017.
