ACHIEVERS GYMNASTS COMPETE AT THE LARGEST GYMNASTICS COMPETITION IN USA

Gymnasts achieve 12 Top 5 Placements and 35 Top 10 Placements 

DENTON, TX – Gymnasts from Achiever’s GymnasticsCenter competed in the Metroplex Challenge held at the Fort WorthConvention Center in Fort Worth, Texas, on January 26-28, 2018.  This competition is the largest gymnastics competition in the United States this year and was attended by more than 4200 of the top gymnasts throughout the country with many Achievers Gymnasts placing at or near the top of the competition.            

Top performances were achieved by Haylie Huggins from Decatur and Raegan Baker from Burneyville, Oklahoma.    Huggins earned her Gold medal on the Uneven Bars in Level 6 Sr. A division.  Baker earned top honors on the Balance Beam in Level 6 Jr. B division.  Baker also earned a Silver Medal for her Uneven Bars routine.  A Bronze medal performance was turned in by Kaden Weatherly, from Sanger, who took 3^rd on the Balance Beam in Level 7 Jr. A division.

The next competition for the Achievers Gymnastics Team is the Magical Classic to be held at OrangeCountyConvention Center in Orlando, Florida on February 16 – 18, 2018.

Claire Willenborg, Highland Village, 4^th on Vault, 6^th on Beam, 7^th on Floor, 8^th All Around.

Level 9, Sr. B Division:

Lauren Grubke, Highland Village, 4^th on Floor, 7^th on Vault.

Kaitlyn Kerns, Highland Village, 6^th on Vault, 9^th on Floor.

Level 8, Jr. B Division:

Amanda Wisker, Denton, 7^th on Vault, 8^th on Bars, 9^th All Around.

Level 7 Jr. A Division:

Kaden Weatherly, Sanger, 3^rd on Beam, 4^th on Bars, 6^th on Vault, 7^th All Around.

Level 7, Sr. A Division:

Erika Gustafson, Denton, 4^th on Beam, 6^th on Bars, 10^th All Around.

Level 7, Sr. B Division:

Maddison Justice, Denton, 5^th on Vault, 7^th on Bars, 10^th on Beam and All Around.

Juliana Paiva, Corinth, 9^th on Bars.

Level 6, Jr. B Division:

Raegan Baker, Burneyville, Oklahoma, 1^st on Beam, 2^nd on Bars, 4^th All Around, 7^th on Floor.

Level 6 Sr. A Division:

Haylie Huggins, Decatur, 1^st on Bars, 6^th on Floor and All Around, 7^th on Vault.

Level 6 Sr. B Division:

Madelyn Hurst, Aubrey, 4^th on Beam and Floor, 6^th on Bars and All Around.
