Gymnasts achieve 32 Top 5 Placements and 53 Top 10 Placements 

DENTON, TX – Gymnasts from Achiever’s Gymnastics Center competed in the Friends of Achievers Invitational held at Swisher Courts in Lake Dallas, Texas, on January 12-14, 2018.  The 17th annual FOA Invitational is hosted by the Achievers Gymnastics Parent Club, also known as FOA.  This competition was attended by more than 750 of the top gymnasts from throughout Texas with many Achievers Gymnasts placing at or near the top of the competition.

Top performances were achieved at Level 7 by Kaden Weatherly from Sanger.  Weatherly took top honors on the Uneven Bars and in the All-Around competition in Level 7 Jr. B division.  Silver Medal performances were turned in by Amanda Wisker of Denton, Maddison Justice from Denton, Erika Gustafson from Denton, and Amelia Watson from Denton.  Wisker earned her Silver medal on Balance Beam in Level 8 Sr. A division.  Justice took 2nd on Bars and AA in Level 7 Sr. C division.  Gustafson earned her Silver on Uneven Bars in Level 7 Sr. B division.  Watson took second on Vault, Beam, and Floor in Level 6 Sr. B Division.  Additionally, bronze medals were earned by Claire Willenborg from Highland Village, Lauren Grubke from Corinth, Wisker, Weatherly, Watson, Jade Ballard from Argyle, and Raegan Baker from Burneyville, Oklahoma.  Claire Willenborg took 3rd on Floor at Level 10 in the Sr. A age division.  Lauren Grubke earned her Bronze medals on Vault and Floor at Level 9 in the Sr. B age division.  Wisker took 3rd on Floor and in the All Around in the Level 8 Sr. A age division.  Weatherly earned her Bronze medals on Vault and Balance Beam in the Level 7 Jr. B age division.  Watson took 3rd on Uneven Bars at Level 6 in the Sr. B age division.  Ballard earned her Bronze medals on Vault and Floor at Level 6 in the Sr. B age division.  Finally, Baker took 3rd on Balance Beam at Level 6 Jr. B age division.

The next competition for the Achievers Gymnastics Team is the Metroplex Challenge to be held at Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas on January 26 – 28, 2018.

Achievers Gymnastics is owned and operated by Frank and Johnna Kudlac since 1992.  Celebrating 26 years serving the Denton community, the Achievers curriculum consists of many inter-working programs including Girls and Boys USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic gymnastics teams, Girls TAAF Teams, Parkour classes, Achievers Ninja Warrior Training, and various levels of recreational gymnastics, cheer and tumbling classes for children and adults of all ages.
