ACHIEVERS GYMNASTS TAAF TEAM COMPETES AT THE TEXAS TOUGH INVITATIONAL
Gymnasts achieve 33 Top 5 Placements and 54 Top 10 Placements 

  DENTON, TX – Gymnasts from Achiever’s Gymnastics Center’s TAAF Gymnastics Team competed in the Texas Tough Invitational held at the Arlington Convention Center in Arlington, Texas, on February 2-3, 2019.  This competition was attended by more than 300 of the top gymnasts throughout Texas with many Achievers gymnasts placing at or near the top of the competition.

        Top performances were achieved by Harper Swartwout, from Corinth, Taylor Dossett, from Corinth, and Amy Tanner, from Argyle.  Swartwout earned a Gold Medal on Floor Exercise in Level 3-7.  Dossett took home Gold Medals on Vault and All Around, as well as earning Silver Medals on Uneven Bars and Floor Exercise and also taking home the Bronze on Balance Beam in Level 4-5.  Tanner took 1st place on Balance Beam in Level 6-2.  Additionally, Silver Medals 

 were earned by Alyssa Dickey, from Argyle, Emersyn DeNoon, from Argyle, Kelsey Scharfe, from Corinth, Emily DeNoon, from Argyle, Katie Stroud, from Decatur, and Kandace Needum, from Denton.   Dickey earned the Silver Medal on Balance

Beam in Level 36.  Emersyn DeNoon took home the Silver Medal on Vault in Level 3-7.  Scharfe took home the Silver Medal on Balance Beam in Level 4-5.  Emily DeNoon earned Silver Medals on Uneven Bars and All Around in Level 6-2. 

Stroud took home the Silver Medal on Floor Exercise in Level 6-2.  Needum earned the Silver Medal on Vault in Level 7-2.  Also, Bronze Medals were earned at this competition by Nailah Chatman, from Corinth, Molly Wilson, from Argyle, and Taryn

Walimaa, from Hickory Creek. Chatman took home the Bronze medal on Floor Exercise in Level 3-6.  Wilson took home Bronze Medals on Uneven Bars and Balance Beam in Level 3-7.  Walimaa took home Bronze Medals on Uneven Bars and Floor

Exercise in Level 4-5. Additionally, the Achievers Gymnastics Level 6 TAAF Team placed 2nd in the Small Team competition. 

            The next competition for the Achievers Gymnastics TAAF Team is at Classic Gymnastics in Bedford, Texas on March 9 – 10, 2019.

Level 7-2:

Kandace Needum, Denton, 2nd on Vault, 5th on Bars and Beam, 7th on Floor and All Around.

Level 6-2:

Amy Tanner, Argyle, 1st on Beam, 7th All Around, 8th on Vault.

Emily DeNoon, Argyle, 2nd on Bars and All Around, 4th on Vault and Beam, 10th on Floor.

Katie Stroud, Decatur, 2nd on Floor, 4th on Vault, 5th on Bars and All Around, 9th on Beam.

Level 4-5:

Taylor Dossett, Corinth, 1st on Vault and All Around, 2nd on Bars and Floor, 3rd on Beam.

Taryn Walimaa, Hickory Creek, 3rd on Bars and Floor, 4th on Beam and All Around, 7th on Vault.

Kelsey Scharfe, Corinth, 2nd on Beam, 5th on Floor, 6th on Vault, 7th on Bars and All Around.

Level 4-7:

Reese Brackeen, Krum, 7th on Beam and Floor.

Emma Lindsay, Corinth, 9th on Beam. 

Level 3-6:

Alyssa Dickey, Argyle, 2nd on Beam, 9th on Vault.

Nailah Chatman, Corinth, 3rd on Floor, 4th All Around, 5th on Vault and Beam, 10th on Bars.

Level 3-7:

Harper Swartwout, Corinth, 1st on Floor.

Emersyn DeNoon, Argyle, 2nd on Vault, 7th on Beam.

Molly Wilson, Argyle, 3rd on Bars and Beam, 7th All Around.

Evangeline Edmondson, Argyle, 4th on Floor, 8th on Bars.

Kensley Dennis, Denton, 6th All Around, 7th on Vault, 10th on Bars.

            Achievers Gymnastics is owned and operated by Frank and Johnna Kudlac since 1992.  Celebrating 27 years serving the Denton community, the Achievers curriculum consists of many inter-working programs including Girls and Boys USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic gymnastics teams, Girls TAAF Teams, Parkour classes, Achievers Ninja Warrior Training, and various levels of recreational gymnastics, cheer, and tumbling classes for children of all ages.
