ACHIEVERS GYMNASTS CONTINUES STRONG SEASON

Gymnasts achieve 9 Top 5 Placements and 18 Top 8 Placements 

DENTON, TX – Gymnasts from Achiever’s Gymnastics Center competed in the GQ Mardi Gras Invitational held at the Family Center Arena in St. Louis, Missouri, on February 18-19, 2017.  This competition was attended by more than 2200 of the top gymnasts throughout the country with many Achievers Gymnasts placing at or near the top of the competition.

Outstanding performances were achieved at Level 9 by Claire Willenborg of Highland Village who won Vault, Bars, and All Around in the Sr. B age division, at Level 8 by Kaitlyn Kerns of Highland Village who won Beam at Level 8 in the Sr. A age division, and at Level 7 by Lily Hernandez of Keller who won Vault in the Jr. B age division.  Silver Medal performances were turned in by Erika Gustafson, from Denton, who took 2nd on Beam in Level 7 Jr. B age division, and by Michaela Jackman, of Flower Mound, who placed 2nd on Vault in Level 7 Sr. B age division.

The next competition for the Achievers Gymnastics Team is the HNI Invitational to be held in Galveston, TX, on February 24 – 26, 2017.

Meet Results

Level 9, Sr. B Division:

Claire Willenborg, Highland Village, placed 1st on Vault, Bars and All Around.

Level 8, Sr. B Division:

Kaitlyn Kerns, Highland Village, placed 1st on Beam.

Peyton Thompson, Keller, placed 4th on Bars and 5th on Floor.

Level 7, Jr. B Division:

Liliana Hernandez, Keller, placed 1st on Vault, 8th on Floor.

Erika Gustafson, Denton, placed 2nd on Beam, 8th on Bars and All Around.

Level 7, Jr. C Division:

Amanda Wisker, Denton, placed 6th on Floor and 7th on Vault.

Level 7, Sr. B Division:

Madison Justice, Denton, placed 6th on Vault and Floor, 7th All Around.

Kylie Brown, Lantana, placed 8th on Bars.

Michaela Jackman, Flower Mound, placed 2nd on Vault.
