ACHIEVERS LEVEL 8 GYMNASTS SHINE AT USA GYMNASTICS

REGIONAL COMPETITION

3 Top 10, 14 Top 20 Placements 

DENTON, TX – Gymnasts from Achiever’s Gymnastics Center competed in the USA Gymnastics Region 3 Level 8 Regional Championships held at Metroplex Gymnastics in Allen, TX, on April 25-26, 2015.  Achievers gymnasts performed well as all 4 gymnasts placed at this prestigious competition with the best qualified gymnasts from Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Wyoming, and Texas.

            Outstanding performances were turned in by Carsyn Phillips, from Denton, Haley O’Connor, from Flower Mound, Katie Dooley, from Denton, and Nadia Hernandez, from Keller.  Phillips placed 6^th on beam in the Jr. D Age Division.  O’Connor placed 9^th on bars and floor in the Sr. D Age Division, as well as taking 11^th in the All Around competition.  Dooley’s top performances were on bars and floor where she placed 13^th in the Jr. C Age Division.  Hernandez finished 13^th All Around in the Sr. B Age Division.

 This was the culminating competition of the season for the Achievers Level 8 Team.

Level 8, Sr. D Age Division:

Haley O’Connor, from Flower Mound” 9^th on bars and floor, 11^th in the all-around,

16^th on Vault.

Level 8, Sr. B Age Division:

Nadia Hernandez, from Keller: 13^th in the all-around, 14^th on vault, 15^th on beam,

19^th on Bars, 20^th on floor.

Level 8, Jr. D Age Division:

Carsyn Phillips, from Denton: 6^th on beam, 18^th on floor.

Level 8, Jr. C Age Division:

Katie Dooley, from Denton: 13^th on bars and floor, 14^th in the all-around.

            Achievers Gymnastics is owned and operated by Frank and Johnna Kudlac since 1992.  Achievers consists of many inter-working programs including Girls and Boys Junior Olympic gymnastics teams, TAAF girls competitive teams, parkour classes, and various levels of recreational gymnastics, cheer and tumbling classes for children starting at 4 months to adults of all ages.
